is more exciting than a new addition to the family. Your baby shower is a time to celebrate |
 |
|
a new life (or lives!) with your close friends and family. At Crème de la Crème
Events, our Event Specialists have put together a variety of themes that reflect your personal style as an
expecting mother. From tea parties containing unique blends of aromatic fragrances and flavors,
to cake tasting events where each pastry is more delicious than the last, we'll ensure that you
and your guests have a wonderful time. We can work with you on organizing traditional baby shower
games such as the ones below, or we can come up with something completely original!
Bottle Races: Have each participant take a bottle filled with
a liquid (milk or alternate drink) and suck the bottle as a baby would. The person who drinks
the most in an allotted time wins the baby shower gift.
Baby Animals: To play this game, give each of the shower guests
a copy of this list of animals and ask them to write the correct word for the baby of that
animal. Give them a time limit for them to solve the questions. The guest with the most
correct answers is the winner.
Swan (Cygnet), Goose (Gosling), Chicken (Chick), Deer (Fawn),
Cow (Calf), Duck (Duckling), Horse (Foal/colt), Goat (Kid), Eel
(Elver), Dog (Puppy), Cat (Kitten), Butterfly (Caterpillar),
Whale (Calf), Frog (Tadpole).
Name that Baby: Write down the mother's first name, father's
first name, and their last name. Have each of the shower guests come up with names for
the baby from a combination of letters in the parent's names. The guest with the most names
wins.
The Price is Right: Buy 10 to 12 baby Items. Get little envelopes
and cards from a stationary story or the florist of a grocery store. Write the price of each
item on a card, write the name of the item on the envelope, and seal the card inside. Play it
like the television show "The Price is Right". Award each card to the guest that guesses closest
to the price without going over. The guest with the most cards wins.
Got Your Back: Write the name of something to do with babies on a
piece of masking tape, one for each guest. Stick a piece of masking tape on each guest's back,
not letting them see the word before you do so. The object of the game is to find out what the
word is taped your back by asking each guest only 3 questions. After asking 3 questions if they
still don't know the word they must ask another person until they guess it. The
first one (or two or three) guests to guess the word wins a prize.
